NRNA ICC member NB Chhetri has been appointed a Tourism Goodwill Ambassador for Malaysia

Kathmandu, Social and NRNA activist Nanda Bahadur Chhetri ‘Netra’, who has been associated with NRNA, a non-residential Nepali association for a long time, has been appointed as the Tourism Goodwill Ambassador for Malaysia. As a result of the important role and continuity played by Chhetri, who has been active in the tourism sector of Nepal, the Government of Nepal has appointed him as the Tourism Goodwill Ambassador for Malaysia for four years.

This decision has been taken by the government according to the ministerial decision of the Nepal government. The Ministry of Tourism has sent the appointment letter to Malaysia. After distributing the appointment letter, Tourism Secretary Suresh Adhikari said that Chhetri, who has been involved in the tourism sector for a long time, has been appointed as Tourism Goodwill Ambassador by the Government of Nepal.

Secretary Suresh Adhikari has said that Chhetri has been appointed as Tourism Goodwill Ambassador for Malaysia by expressing his belief that this sector will expand and become stronger. After receiving the letter of appointment, Chhetri expressed his commitment to carry out the responsibility entrusted to him by the state, taking care of the interests of the natives and resident Nepalis. He expressed his gratitude to the Nepal government for giving him this responsibility and said that he will use the experience he has gathered in the tourism sector after staying in Malaysia for years.

From the year 2005 until now, he has been involved in the business of Chhetri Travels and Tours in Malaysia. Currently, Chhetri is running a business in Malaysia including NHS Vacation Travels and Tours Sdn Bhd, Naftar Presto Cafe, Naftar Global Resources Sdn Bhd. He is also a member of the NRNA Tourism Promotion Committee and is known in Malaysia as a person who has special involvement in the field of tourism and who has created the identity of expatriate Nepalis who are well-versed in this field.
Currently, the government of Nepal and the related agencies are openly praising the work done by the NRNA in the countries like Malaysia, a country where many tourists come to the world, to bring the tourism sector of Nepal, which has slowed down due to the earthquake and covid, to a rhythm. This time, the Government of Nepal and the Ministry of Tourism have given due respect to Chhetri, who has been working round the clock in promoting Nepal’s tourism sector through various campaigns even while abroad. Appreciating Chhetri’s contribution to Nepal’s tourism sector, the Government of Nepal made a ministerial decision and appointed him as Tourism Goodwill Ambassador for Malaysia.

Chhetri said that he will soon start various programs to send Malaysian citizens to Nepal. Chhetri has requested the Nepali Embassy in Malaysia, NRNA Malaysia, all Nepali Association organizations, and Nepalis to support his campaign.
